The Pakistani American Bar Association (PABA) was founded in Chicago, Illinois in August 2004 and is the first bar association of Pakistani American attorneys in the nation.  PABA has seen one of its past presidents become the first Pakistani-American judge elected to the US judiciary.  Its members include attorneys in major American law firms, at Fortune 500 corporations, universities, law schools and not-for-profits. 

PABA hosts numerous events each year that enrich the professional and personal lives of its members.  These include sponsorships of not-for-profit organizations such as domestic violence shelters and academic programs aimed at minority students, and social events providing opportunities for networking and mentoring.
